Thanksgiving movies
- Spiderman
Sam Raimi’s first film was an absolute box office smash when it was released in 2002 and it deserves a lot of credit for revitalizing the superhero genre.
Check it out this thanksgiving (before it gets rebooted again) and look out for bike messengers!
- Planes, Trains and Automobiles
When it comes to Thanksgiving movies this is the one film I never miss out on watching each Thanksgiving. Follow Steve Martin’s epic journey to get back to his family, with an airline travel experience we can all relate to!
The film received critical acclaim for a reason, if you somehow still haven’t seen it, treat yourself this year, now I am off to buy some curtain shower rings
- Knives Out
We might be cheating (a little) here. While this is the one film on our list not set on Thanksgiving, it’s New-England setting during the fall makes it the perfect Thanksgiving movie. It’s also the newest released film on our list. James Bond stars in this smartly-written film with twists and turns you won’t see coming! - Rocky
I know a boxing movie might not sound like everyone’s perfect thanksgiving watching experience. However, this film won the Oscar for best picture for a reason. Including a memorable Thanksgiving scene, that will have you punching the air all the way through. - Addams Family Values
The worst thing about this film is having to wait out the weeks between watching the first installment around Halloween and this (even better?) follow-up on Thanksgiving.Including an iconic retelling of the first Thanksgiving, trust us it’s worth the wait… or don’t and just watch it twice…. though!
