- The most foolproof way
The best way to remove wrinkles without an iron is to invest in a travel steamer. You can pick them up for relatively cheap on Amazon and can even get them the same day if you have Prime Now. If you’ve never used a portable steamer before, it won’t be long before it becomes your new BFF. - Boil the kettle
The best thing about having kitchenettes in your hotel room is that they nearly always come with a hot water kettle. Fill it up, switch on and just as it’s coming to boil, you have a makeshift steamer to iron out those creases. - Stack up some heavy books
Just like pressing your clothes, for a single crease, stretch out the fabric and place some heavy items like books on top. The weight will soon straighten out the fabric. - Use your mattress
Didn’t pack your books? Fair enough, we prefer to travel light with a Kindle anyway. You can also use the same trick with a mattress to get rid of creases from your clothing without an iron. Just roll up your clothing, and place each piece between your mattress and a firm bed base. Do this in the morning for a wrinkle-free outfit that night. - Wet some kitchen towel
Best for one or two deep wrinkles that may have come from your clothing being folded inside the suitcase. Dampen a piece of kitchen towel (or even a bath towel), lay it on top of the item of clothing, and gently smooth out the wrinkles by pulling the fabric of your clothing taut. It should dry perfectly crease-free. - Use the bottom of an empty pot
If you have some pots and pans in the cupboard, grab the largest, shallow flat-bottomed pot, fill it with water and bring it to a boil. When the water is at a rolling boil, pour it out, and carefully use the (still very hot) base as a makeshift iron on your clothing to remove wrinkles. Bonus tip: as it’s boiling hold your clothing over the pot of water for a pre-steam to loosen wrinkles.
